It was a faulse alarm. He's still in the holding pattern, for the moment.
I brought my grandson's home to spend the night to give their Mommy a break. She needs it as these two are more than a handful.

OMG!!!
I think my daughter is having back labor! I’m on my way to her house now. I will be gone a few days, if she is as I will be caring for my other 2 grandsons.
Keep your fingers crossed. He’s 5 weeks early.

Happy 2009
Happy New Year!
Well, I took a friends advice and we are trying a new approach with the idiot boyfriend. He is spending the day with the family today. (Give me strength in all things, today and every day. Better yet, give my darling hubby strength in all things today and every day.)
My day will be filled with cooking New Year's dinner. I am getting ready to go make some veggie trays, shrimp trays and cheese, cold cuts, crackers, olives & pickle plates to keep everyone busy until the main dinner is ready. I also made sure that I have plenty of different chips & dips to keep everyone out of the kitchen.
Last night we watched a marathon of The Twilight Zone most of the night, watched the peach drop and went to bed. Very exciting stuff, let me tell you. Yes, I had my once a year glass of Asti.
I have completely lost my mind and am crocheting a charted afghan for my adopted son. Yes, that's what I said! I have figured that it's only going to take me 56 hours to make. So what if I've never done a charted afghan before. LOL I KNOW, RIGHT? This from the person that hasn't been able to hardly make a wash cloth in the last year. What can I say? I'm a dreamer!
